Your Cat and Scandia Cottages:

We understand how much a cat can be a part of the family and vacationing without them would not seem right. We’d like you to be able to keep bringing your cat to Scandia, but we do have to set down some common sense rules to help us with our cleaning and for the comfort of future guests. As you know, allergies to cats are common.

1. For the safety of your cat and others, please do not leave your cat off -leash unattended on the property.

2. Please bring litter and dispose of it in a bag in the dumpster on the northwest corner of the property, or flush in the toilet (no plastic please).

3. In a perfect world for us, your cat would not be allowed on the furniture or beds, but habits kept at home cannot be broken here.  Please bring a familiar blanket or rug to place on the furniture where the cat will lie.  If your cat sleeps with you, please remove our blankets, quilts or spreads and replace with your own bedding.  We do not have extras for every bed, and it takes much too long to wash these items on cleaning day.  Failure to follow these rules may result in the loss of some of your security deposit.

4. If your cat does any noticeable damage to the cottage, the cost of repairs will be deducted from your security deposit.  If the expense of cleaning and/or repairs exceeds this deposit, you are liable for the full amount.
